This is Alejandro�s first studio release since 2001 and is an extremely personal documentation of his �music, his life, and his mortality� (Bloodshot Bio).
The 11 songs on the �Boxing Mirror� are performed by members of his current touring band: Mark Andes (Bass), Matt Fish (Cello), Jon Dee Graham (Guitar), Hector Munoz (Drums), David Pulkinham (Guitar), Bruce Salmon (Keyboards), Brian Standefer (Cello) and Susan Voelz (Violin). I had the chance to see this grouping of fine musicians and the performance was breathtaking, a 3D musical experience.
